Springtime Practice Tips

If you live in an area that has winter, spring is a welcome change which comes with a few challenges for practice. It's nice weather and you want to be outside, not stuck inside practicing. Here are a few things you can do to make it a bit more enjoyable to practice.

First, open your curtains and blinds. Get as much natural light as you can. Just that can boost your mood. Second, open the windows. If you can, open the windows in your practice room and get some fresh air (and treat the neighbors to your music :)) Finally, take what you can outside. Remember those ways to practice away from your instrument? Grab your sheet music and recordings and sit outside while you study or listen. Practice tapping rhythms while you go for a walk. Jump rope and sing the melody line while you jump using the rope
